Change Ringing in Central Arkansas

Change ringing requires special bells and ordinary people who enjoy working as a team in the art of "The Exercise." The bells do not play ordinary tunes, but ring in descending order. Changes to this order can be made—thus the term “Change Ringing.”

The human ingredient is critical because change ringing is unique. It depends on real bells, each swung in a complete circle by a single person: six bells - six people, eight bells - eight people, usually standing in a circle.

When do we ring?

The change ringing bells are rung by members of the Trinity Cathedral Ringing Society, who add this unique sound to the richness of the liturgy at Trinity. The bells are rung before (and sometimes after) the 9:00am service, the 10:00am service summer schedule service, for funerals, weddings, and other special events.

Visitors are always welcome to attend our regular ringing practices

Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
